Editorial Policy

Our Editorial Standards
ShopperScout publishes rankings, buying guides and product comparisons based on publicly available manufacturer specifications, published pricing, verified owner review data and confirmed purchase volumes. Every factual claim we publish must be traceable to a verifiable source. We do not invent specifications or pricing and we do not copy Amazon product descriptions.
Independence from Commercial Interests
Brands and manufacturers do not pay for coverage, ranking positions or favorable editorial treatment on ShopperScout. Our affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page and in our Affiliate Disclosure. No commercial arrangement changes what we write or how we rank products. Our editors have final say on all published content.
How We Source Information
Product specifications come from manufacturer listings, official product pages and data aggregated from verified retail sources. Owner ratings and review counts come from Amazon and are current as of each page's last published date. Prices shown are reference prices from the time of publication and may change. We note when a specification is unavailable rather than estimate or assume it.
Corrections and Updates
When a reader or team member identifies a factual error, we correct it promptly and update the published date on the affected page. We do not silently rewrite pages that have been significantly changed. If you believe a page contains an error, email hello@shopperscout.com with the URL and the specific detail you believe is wrong.
Writer and Editor Responsibilities
Every ShopperScout article is written or reviewed by a named editor or the research team. Writers are responsible for ensuring claims are supported by data before publication. Editors review articles for accuracy, clarity and compliance with this policy before they go live. No article is published without a review step.
